A workaround, if you really need auto-login, is to install lightdm (at
this point still choose gdm3), enable auto-login via gnome settings,
then switch to lightdm (sudo dpkg-reconfigure gdm3). Not sure why it
autologins but it does. Can't lock the gnome session however as not
using gdm anymore.
What's the status for Ubuntu Focal?
How can I help to emphasize the importance of backporting the fix to the

Repeated the test with Ugreen connected directly to the computer's USB
with "usb-storage.quirks=174c:55aa:u". It took 15 minutes and 2 seconds

I was doing some experimentation with encrypted zvols and observed that
the zfs-volume-wait.service systemd unit does not start if the encrypted
zvol is locked. The /sbin/zvol_wait should not wait for links when the
volume has property keystatus=unavailable. The attached
Ugreen is the adapter interface between USB and SATA, drive enclosure
for the 2.5" drive. It is the same device.
During my tests I have connected Ugreen directly to the computer or via
an external powered HUB. All tests give the same failing result. No
difference.
