I can confirm this problem, just updated the system and Xorg session
wasn't starting, I was able to install the latest drivers using another
tty and enabling the graphics drivers ppa, but, yes, I restarted the
computer and saw just a black screen.

I tested kernel side of fix in ubuntu officially updated
5.11.0-34-generic.
I think all 3 fixes are working fine headphones input/output unplugged
by default, auto switch to internal/headphones on plug in/plug out and
headphone microphone input.

I have booted and installed the mainline kernel. I don't have a recipe
to reproduce the problem, and sometimes weeks go by between occurrences.
I will follow up here when it happens again or check back in a few weeks
if it does not.
