I got the same problem (slow speed of wifi) with the ATHEROS AR928X from an Acer aspire AS3410T and with the ATHEROS AR9285 from an Asus X70IC. The two computers under ubuntu 16.04 with the last update. It work perfectly under windows 7 with this two computers. -- You received this bug
