I can confirm this bug as well (using Linux Mint 20, Kernel 5.4.0-48-generic) with the same laptop. However, I can offer a partial workaround: After adding "i8042.nomux i8042.notimeout" to the kernel command line (i.e. via GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX in /etc/default/grub), the trackpad will be properly
