When I suspend (using either the session menu or by closing the lid) and
resume, my Toshiba Portege R200 fails to wake. The flashing orange light
changes to blue but the screen remains black and the keyboard is
unresponsive (Caps Lock doesn't work, Ctrl-Alt-F keys don't work e
Roman, thank you for testing the latest mainline kernel. Just to clarify:
1) In 13.10, you are noting that when the ondemand governor is used, the
frequency of a given CPU doesn't go past 1.8GHz (i.e. Intel Turbo Boost is not
taking the frequency past 1.8GHz and up to 3.0GHz)?

tracked, could you please file a new report with Ubuntu by executing the
following in a terminal while booted into a Ubuntu repository kernel (not a

newer X.Org stack/nouveau. Could you please do this and advise if

I tested with the latest saucy upgrades and the current stable trusty kernel
(3.13.0-031300-generic_3.13.0-031300.20140119).
The screen connected on the hdmi port is not even recognized.
If required I could also try the current daily build.

Detlef, the linux-mmc maintainers always like to know the latest BIOS is
installed. As well, as per http://us.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/drivers, an
update to your BIOS is available (2.17). If you update to this following
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/BiosUpdate does it change anything? If i
meanwhile I upgraded to 13.10 to get a fix for touchscreen issue in xorg (just
upgrade - no completely new install).
Sometimes I have to plug in the modem twice until it is recognized correctly,
but then it normally works.
