Also Confirmed - vendor issue, not Ubuntu - BIOS upgrade fixed
brightness / suspend issues as well for me. Everything now works
flawlessly.
A bit OT but in case others arrive here via google: the V5-122P BIOS
updates *require* you to be running Windows 8 or newer. If you aren't
dual booting

Greazer, thank you for reporting this and helping make Ubuntu better. As
per http://us.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/drivers an update to your
computer's buggy and outdated BIOS is available (1.25). If you update to
this following https://help.ubuntu.com/community/BIOSUpdate does it
change anything?
Yes, I tried that but it didn't work.

I started a "Reverse" bisect between v4.2 final and v4.3-rc1. The first
test kernel is built up to the following commit:
dd5cdb48edfd34401799056a9acf61078d773f90
The test kernel can be downloaded from:
http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~jsalisbury/lp1492632
Can you test that kernel and report back if
tests ran: 66, failed: 66;

the problem got solved by inter changing configuration to various options
given in network edit . I change d to automatic to manual and then to local
links.. after opting to local links some local configuration appeared in
IPv4 section,, Here i changed /edited to my service provider's IP, net-mask
Hello,
After adding the following text in /etc/modprobe.d/iwl3945.conf the issue
didn't happened again (> 48 h) to me
#parm: antenna:select antenna (1=Main, 2=Aux, default 0 [both]) (int)
#parm: swcrypto:using software crypto (default 1 [software]) (int)
#parm: disable_hw_scan:disable hardware
Correction: will probably be kernel 4.2. The question still stands
however.

NMI watchdog: BUG: soft lockup - CPU#0 stuck for 22s!
This is not caused by an out of date bios.
There is no support for this device in Linux, not even in the latest
upstream kernel. This isn't likely to be fixed until Qualcomm Atheros
adds support for your hardware.
