When the battery reaches some low point a kernel panic seems to occur
where the screen goes black and the only signal from the machine is the
blinking caps-lock key until the machine reboots on its own accord.

I've managed to fetch the saucy repo. git says there's around 14,000
commits between these two tags?!
I'm going to first verify that when I build both of these tags I get the
same behaviour as I do with the binary
sudodus, all tests were made using Startup Disk Creator (in Xubuntu
16.04) to create the boot drive.

Live session hangs at
Booted via grub-n-iso shutdown works for me, but not when the pendrive
was created by cloning the current Lubuntu Xenial i386 daily iso file,
xenial-desktop-i386.iso
Today I tested with USB-creator-gtk 0.3.2 and mkusb, but can get the
same result with other cloning tools, e.g. gnome-disks, dd.
Anyway, I installed 4.5 kernel and nothing has changed. The connection
still drops and ping is unstable

Removing the kernel modules for the card reader:
sudo rmmod rtsx_pci_sdmmc
sudo rmmod rtsx_pci_ms
sudo rmmod rtsx_pci
It still appears in lspci (but as unassigned)

I would like to add, this is probably a problem with the Linux kernel as
I have seen this on other systems. I have observed it so far on: Ubuntu
Live USB, ArchLinux, and Gentoo. This problem seems to only occur when
