Ok we believe we understand where those errors came from (ultimatly
triggered by a data centre outage). The erroneous files should now be
repaired and we have a plan in place to prevent a recurrance.

Daro, to clarify, did this issue not occur in a Ubuntu release prior to
16.04?

Sorry, I usually turn my notebook on with it already plugged. Before
running those commands and reporting this
So, right now i am working with new (native ubuntu, 5.37) libbluetooth
and with bluez 5.27 downloaded from bluez.org, and there are no lags at
all, only disconnects. So i guess the reason for lags is in bluez
itself.

I have a "Proton" email account, which works very nice through my Ubuntu
phone. However, I am not receiving notifications when I get emails come
through. So I can miss them. I am unable to add Proton email (or
anything else) to the list of applications I receive notifications

Lets take a step back. Why would you need log files to see that in
Settings > Notifications there is no option to add other programs. Is it
because ProtonMail is a web app? I am unable to get the logs anyway.

Sorry it has taken me sometime to get to this.
I started working towards finding a kernel that does not have my
problem. I must have been mistaken on what version I thought did not do
this. as every mainline or Ubuntu kernel from 3 up to 4.7 I have this
issue with. Some are worse then
since updating to the 4.4.0-28-generic kernel I have not seen this
issue. I believe we can declare it fixed. Do we declare it Fix
Released, or some other status?
