I'v installed them in a ubuntu 16.04 guest running in a 5.1.0 virtualbox
on a windows 7 host.
The ubuntu guest, configured to use usb 3.0 xhci controller, now boots
normally. The guest can access usb memory sticks normally.

While I have not found out where exactly things go wrong, I could
confirm that this is related to ppc64el builds using a 64k page size. I
build a test kernel with 4k page size and installed it inside the VM.
With that bcache-super-show will will reflect the correct status after
activation and also
I tested 14.04 LTS, 16.04 LTS, 16.10 (with both kernels - ordinary and
mainline) - the bug exists only on 12.04 LTS with 3.2 kernel. So the bug

No this did not happen after an upgrade. I built 3 brand new ubuntu
14.04.4 LTS servers all pushing nightly backups to my NFS server. I have
no problem with the other two servers as their data is not large. They

The 3.19(lts-vivid) kernel is now EOL, so marking that as wont fix.
However, the Trusty 3.13 kernel is still supported. I just wanted to
confirm you are not seeing this bug on Trusty using the 3.13 kernel?

Unfortunately, yes. I did not find any evidence of other Hyper-V/Host related
problems.

@balbirs, would it be possible for you to send the individual .patch
files, so I can apply them with "git am"? That will confirm we are
using the same code base.
You can generate them with something like:
'git format-patch -k HEAD~10'
Change the number '10' to the number of commits you added
