These stressors are expected to trigger the OOM killer. The oom
adjustment for the stressor child processes is always adjusted to make
them the first processes to be OOM'd. However, the kernel make's it
choice on what gets OOM'd depending on many factors, so the stressors
may end up triggering
I believe this issue has been fixed in newer kernel.
I have a TP-LINK TL-WDN4800 (168c:0030),the download speed of it looks
normal, but the upload speed has never been higher than 30Mbps on my
ArchLinux with linux kernel 4.14 LTS. Then I switched to kernel 4.17,
and iperf3 shows a 124 Mbits/sec
Thanks for testing. The panic was not caused from anything you did.
That is a new bug in the 4.18 kernel. We will have to monitor this new
bug, since Cosmic will eventually be 4.18 based. We should also test
the latest Cosmic kernel, which is 4.17 based. It is available from:

I can confirm that the fix in the Cosmic kernel is sufficient. Will this
be backported to Bionic and Xenial HWE?

You may need to run the following from a terminal:
sudo apt-get install -f
sudo apt-get clean
sudo apt-get update
Then re-install the package or updates.

Still no hangs/freezes/crashes in the last week so looks like issue
either fixed in upstream kernel or was fixed in Skype/VCC!
