After a lot of cpu time and some difficulties I built the latest 5.3.0-40 kernel reverting the 2e26ccb119bde03584be53406bbd22e711b0d6e6 commit created for bug #1791312. With the new (but old) module my machine now works flawlessly. I think the above commit should be improved/changed. Please help.
