We have the same VSS Issues in 14.04 LTS but hyper v (2012) gen 1. Has
this been seen before? We can reproduce the error on command.
Received an indication that the operating parameters on this target have

bootloader located in block 2+. Changing one byte in block #6 restored

The Broadcom wireless on this machine is supported via a proprietary
driver from Broadcom and not from an in-kernel driver. Changing the
affected package to bcmwl-kernel-source.

To simply remove the files and directories for older versions in
/var/lib/dkms/vboxhost is enough to solve this problem. And it is a bug
in VirtualBox instead of Ubuntu. VirtualBox should purge the older dkms
