A friend @ Dell told me that some (or all) systems won't blink led when
systems are sleeping, so I tried Windows 8 to see whether this problem

I noticed that it is an AMD platform (i.e. A+A). It is quite normal
that AMD's iGPU requires more memory than Intel's (because it is also
more powerful). This should be a normal behaviours.
This can depend on hardware design, but the iGPU device allocates 256M
memory space (see lspci or below)
I asked a friend who used to work on AMD platforms. He commented that
recent AMD iGPU may require more than 512M.

The current implementation
\_SB_.PCI0.PEG_.VID_._DSM: Argument #4 type mismatch is the result of
Nvidia passing incorrect type to _DSM. If Optimus works without any
problem, it can be safely ignored. For unknown reasons both open-source
and proprietary drivers suffer from the same problem. Nvidia really
needs to look into

ACPI _DOD is used to enumerate all devices attached to display adapter
and is used for output switching. This is used in acpi video driver but
I suspect actual feature is impact. Especially, many laptop generates
super+p instead of ACPI event after Windows 7.
