to modprobe btusb first. Then, the btusb folder appeared under drivers
and I could echo the id.

This issue came when i upgraded My Ubuntu from vivid to wily so it
worked well on kernels 3.19.*
I have even done a fresh install of wily from the official ISO to be

Since "dell-smm-hwmon" seems to be an alias of the i8k module, and based
on the solution from the #100121 of the kernel bug tracker, blacklist
"dell-smm-hwmon" resolved the issue at least on my Dell Studio XPS 8000.
I tried many hard reboots to confirm this.
However i don't really know this

Just upgraded 13.04 to 13.10 on the Zenbook and ran into what I believe
is this problem.
In case anyone is looking for an easy solution, workaround was to go to
the bios, and under boot, set CSM enabled and the issue disappeared.
No kernel switching was required.

likely flashing to some sort of UEFI. Are you suggesting this might have
some benefit because I do not see anything other than Windows 8 support
being added.

The output of dmesg shows mmc2: Timeout waiting for hardware
interrupt. The mmc2 is a SanDisk Extreme Pro microSDHC 16GB card which

When closing the lid or choosing Suspend in the unity gear/session menu the
screen is locked, but suspend is not activiated.
It actually seems there is an error somewhere in the suspend process because
the screen turns of for the fraction of a second and wifi is disabled
Okay, the fix for this is to disable FXAA antialiasing in nvidia-
settings.
In the terminal, type:
nvidia-settings
Then a control panel will open.
Uncheck the FXAA Antialiasing box.
