I upgraded to the newes Ubuntu with kernel: 3.8.0-29-generic #42-Ubuntu
And still have the same problem with mouse and keyboard. And I don't
have this problem with Windows 7.
Actually I tried to install the newest mainline kernel, but there is not
entry in grub2 for this kernel. It is still

I have exactly the same problem, but not only with wirless mouse and
keyboards from Logitech, also normale wired usb-mouses and keyboards let
my Ubuntu freeze.

@Gaton: I'm quite sure, the bug which you are describing is a different
bug, because my usb system is completely off, if the mouse and keyboard
is frozen. It is not possible to move the mouse slowley or so on. The
little LED which should blink if something new is connected to usb is
also not
The bug still exists (with 5.3.0-42)! No login is possible.

Unfortunately the same bug also in 5.4.!
The last working kernel is 5.0. Since the update to 5.3.0-26 ubuntu is dead on
my computer.
Who did the mistake? It is very frustrating if a whole operating system can't
be used any more, especially when u are used to ubuntu/linux since years.

I know configured an ssh and connect with an other pc. I ran 'sudo

Sorry. Much to complicated for me. I'm not a linux expert and this computer is

If I connect a wired mouse the mouse is working, so USB is not the
problem. The new kernels just do not accept the logitech wireless mouse
and keyboard (K520 and M310) but the old kernel does. Hopefully the bug
can be found and fixed soon.
