Title:
Firefox snap install fails due to disabled networking in upgrade
  process

Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
Upgrading from Kubuntu 20.04.4 LTS to Jammy fails to install Firefox
snap due to disabled networking. Prior to the snap installation
attempt, networking is disabled as part of the regular do-release-
upgrade process. Although networking is enabled again, and a link is
restored, later in the process, name resolution typically fails until
the system is rebooted following completion of the upgrade.

Although networking is enabled again, and a link is
restored, later in the process, name resolution typically fails until
the system is rebooted following completion of the upgrade.

snap due to disabled networking. Prior to the snap installation
attempt, networking is disabled as part of the regular do-release-
upgrade process. Although networking is enabled again, and a link is
restored, later in the process, name resolution typically fails until
the system is rebooted following completion of the upgrade.

[Kernel-packages] [Bug 1769421] Re: [18.04] [Bionic]drm_kms_helper causes long delay at boot

2018-05-09 Thread Scott Testerman
The problem first appeared in kernel 4.8.0. It is worth noting that the
boot delays are not particularly excessive with this kernel version, but
increase with each subsequent version to the point of several minutes
delay using 4.15.0.20.23 (18.04LTS default kernel).

With mainline kernel 4.17rc4, flip_done is still timing out, so it's
exactly the same behavior as the 18.04LTS kernel.
