Bug seemed to be triggered by putting laptop to sleep with headphones
plugged in, then disconnecting while asleep. After wake/resume

I re-installed my system:
- Can boot on the 5.15.0-50 kernel
- I open the additionnal drivers tool
- The last one (libre: nouveau) was selected
- I change this setting to have the same than my previous install (the one with
the bug report attached logs): nvidia driver (open kernel) the only one
Bug still here with the 5.15.0-50, must boot by selecting the oldest one
in grub.
I only have a secured machine because I have suscribed to Livepatch who will do
the job every time i reboot on the old kernel (aka every reboot)

bt-adapter crashes with kernel version of 5.15.0-48, but not with
5.15.0-46. Since I don't see journalctl logs attached, I will upload
mine in case they're needed. They include the bt-adapter stack trace.

Hi, I have the same problem with not being able to reboot or shutdown.
Error is displayed: "Failed to power off system via logind: There's already a
shutdown or sleep operation in progress"
Ubuntu 20.04 on Dell Pavilion M6600.
I tried modifying the "quiet splash acpi=force" but without

Unfortunately the problem has not been completely solved, if I can put it that
way.
First (before) of all, I had already installed the Slimboot Battery 3 (an
application for controlling battery consumption that uses tlp). So I used its
configuration interfaces to define the USB blacklist and I
I guess a possible workaround could be is installing it in safe graphics
mode, then blacklisting nouveau or installing the official NVIDIA
drivers. I haven't tried this yet.

I tried booting in normal mode but with "nosplash debug" options, and it
froze with lots of these messages:
nouveau :01:00.0: fifo: runlist 0 update timeout
nouveau :01:00.0: tmr: stalled at
So it seems the freeze is caused by nouveau (the laptop has a NVIDIA
GeForce GTX
It also shuts down while checking the disk.

Unable to boot 20.04 LTS installer on Dell XPS 15 9560

I have the same issue on my Dell XPS 15 9560. As soon as the graphical
interface would start, the system either shuts down or freezes
completely.
However, it does work if I boot Ubuntu in "safe graphics" mode, but this
way changing the display brightness and connecting external displays
don't
It seems that the cause is tlp. I made adjustments to the suggested line
(thanks You-Sheng Yang) and got some improvement in the detection time
of the mouse and keyboard (the keyboard is still slow but less worse). I
will monitor what happens when I return from idle mode.
