Hoping to see the issue go away with the new Ubuntu 24.04 on a HP HP
ProDesk 400 G3 DM/82A5 and it uses Intel HD Graphics 630. But nope still
happens. I needed to pull the power for a bit before screen would come
back properly. Is there additional information needed to troubleshoot
the issue?

with no ability to activate which then requires a reboot. Sometimes I
will need to power off and unplug hdmi cable.

Been using 22.04 with Nvidia 390 for a long time now with no issues.
Suddenly, I ran into the dkms problem with a kernel upgrade, Thankfully,
I found the solution is to lock my kernel at 6.12. Hopefully I don't
have to keep it that way for long!

rebooted. After rebooting, I'm unable to boot from my encrypted SSD.

I have attached xorg.log and syslog files. I am unable to send files
directly from the os since I only have commandline and apport-collect
needs gui so let me know what else is needed. It appears that nvida
driver is the default driver and with 22.10 it was using version 390.

Sorry, I may not have made it obvious. The problem started on Focal but
I have since upgraded to Groovy as I thought a newer kernel may help
given various amdgpu fixes hit the kernel between 5.4 and 5.8.
I do see a pending update for 5.8.0-34 though which I'll install.

Ah, the included dmesg output doesn't actually have the useful snippet
in it. Please see attached section of log output which runs from when I
attempted to resume the system to when it was rebooted.

I started seeing my system fail to resume from suspend over the last
couple of weeks. It happens about 1 in 5 times maybe? I press the power
button on my system to resume it and my screens stay blank. I am able to
connect to the system remotely over ssh and check syslog to
lspci | grep -i network
