as a dkms plus the vivid kernel. That's why HWE want to add the firmwares to
linux-image in vivid-updates.

While the vivid kernel has some code to support Intel 8260, the highest
firmware API it supports is -12 whereas the first firmware Intel
released for this hardware is -13. Including the firmware in vivid isn't
going to help because the vivid kernel isn't going to use it.
