Okay, the Live CD for Ubuntu 14.04 ran fine. However, after it rebooted it instantly hung as soon as it showed the Ubuntu desktop (with no icons on the panel) into my account (I had it set to autologin). Booting into recovery mode has it instantly start spitting text with a red background.
