Slab and SUnreclaim values in /proc/meminfo keep increasing. On one
servers it reached 85% of physical memory after 14 days - but on most
other servers it increases more slowly. I checked /proc/slabinfo and
almost all allocations were in kmalloc-512. So I enabled
I could not test 3.19.0-30 or 3.19.0-29, because my machine would not
boot properly.
I guess there are still some other problems in these versions. In my case:
- I cannot boot, because I cannot unlock my luks-root-partition during regular
startup
- In recovery mode, I can unlock my luks-root

A quick solution would be to provide a package of older bcmwl versions
to users. You could call it bcmwl-legacy or something, so that users
have a choice. (Maybe the newest is required for some recent devices.)

Just to add a note, I did notice that the GLX failure did not occur with this
new kernel (but it does occur in my dmesg for a slightly earlier kernel).
This new kernel may have possibly fixed the main issue but it seems to have
introduced an extra instability.

Pipe state mismatch during screen blank/unblank

The test kernel resolves the panic on 32 bit guests for both Vivid and

I accidentally stumbled upon a sort-of solution to my own problem. It
seems that the Xen hypervisor handles USB the way it should be handled,
so if you happen to have VT-d or SVM, installing Xen is an easy fix.
Plus, you'll be able to run VMs natively, which is itself super cool.
