I fixed the problem by installing xserver-xorg-input-all.

Didn't work in my AB350 Gaming 3 with Ubuntu 16.04, I get a lot of
"unexpected irq trap at vector 07" without acpi=off before system
freezes.
I've also tried other kernels, from 4.8 to 4.10, to no avail.
