Same here. Interesting is that I can run games for hours at high
cpu/gpu/memory load without problems, yet I can sometimes lock firefox
in a couple of minutes.
I had a quick look at the commit and it fixed a problem in a file that
was not introduced until 4.11rc1. Looks like the kernel team has

Come to think of it, since you say it only seems to happen on a
multipath SAN and not on a normal disk, it may be related to the order
of requests being sent to the disk and XFS's use of io barriers to make
sure that the unmap request for the old data does not hit the disk after
the new filesystem

I'm experiencing input/output errors on mounting NFS-shares, starting
from kernel 4.9 and above.

Just downloaded a daily build, made a installable usb stick from it and
booted from that.
The result is attached.
I have no clue, why newer kernel versions don't run on Lenovo Yoga 3.

Unfortunately I am not able to reproduce this anymore.
On the day I reported the bug I was able to reproduce it multiple times, next
day I tried the mainline kernel, it worked, installed back the old kernel and
again it worked. That was the only package that changed.

I subscribed to this bug and clicked the 'Yes this bug affects me'
before. But with the kernel version 4.4.0-75-generic (with Ubunut 16.04
LTS) I no longer have this bug.
Hope this means that others aren't experiencing this bug as well.
