Public bug reported:
AMD platforms with SNPS 3.1 USB controllers will stop responding because
of an RTL bug.
This workaround fixes S3 on these platforms:

When a timeout of zero is specified, the caller is only interested in
the fence status.
In the current implementation, dma_fence_default_wait will always call

Hi,
We still experience this bug. We use Hyper-V 2012 and use Veeam to
create VM backups (though this fact might be irrelevant). We upgraded
our Ubuntu 14.04 to the latest xenial kernel (4.4.0-91) and still
experience the VM hanging/freezing/stacktracing regularly directly after
backup. Sometimes

Must have been introduced with the latest kernel update though (as the

Oh, there is no source code in the linux-source package. I will have to add
those patches to my own source - which won't exactly test your kernel.

I can see this behavior of reporting NVME disks as 'Unknown' by the installer
in Ubuntu-16.04.3 (Server) with HWE kernel 4.10 during installation.
I do see that the sysfs has 'model' attribute, so I think its the installer who
is not reading it, now.
