So my fix worked for a couple of days, then stopped working. I think
there was a kernal upgrade a couple of days ago (on Ubuntu 20.04, now
running 5.4.0-37-generic), and I am now shutting down on resume. Sleeps
normally, LED blinking, displays off, no heat produced. When I open the

Just to let you know, I got the touchpad on my Lenovo V15-IIL to work
with these boot parameters: i8042.nopnp=1 pci=nocrs
(Latest Bios dkcn29ww, Ubuntu Kernel 5.4.)
Hope this helps others, until the touchpad model gets recognized with
the default parameters. I got this info from
While I have not upgraded to 5.3.0-59, I upgraded to 5.4.0-37, as the
5.4.0 kernel has finally been made available in 18.04. This version and
possibly later fixed the issue I originally had.

Now ubuntu focal kernel (5.4.0) for raspi2 is ready, and in that kernel
the CONFIG_DRＭ_V3D is enabled by default (in the latest version of rasp2
focal kernel), could you please have a try that 5.4.0 kernel?

This is plaguing my system as well. Doing updates gives the errors. Not
sure I want to perform a get:clone due to the software I have loaded and
that it seems to be an issue with the new kernel.

It worked! I added a few parameters to grub before but the did not
worked.
For future reference to others:
- Access the grub configuration file by typing in a terminal: sudo nano
/etc/default/grub
- Find the line "GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT" and append i8042.nopnp=1 pci=nocrs
- Save the file
