I just experienced a UI freeze (no keyboard nor mouse answer)
Not sure if this is related to the new kernel though
I'll report again if it reproduces

Public bug reported:
About one time out of 10,
when I close the lid of my laptop (MacBook 2,1),
the system does not suspend.
Apparently the CPU is running high,
because when I return to my laptop,
it is very hot and the fan is turning full speed.
When I reopen the lid the system does not resume.
suspend/resume used to work reliably in the past.
