The input issues first crop up in 4.13-rc1. I also noticed that the latest
4.16-rc2 doesn't seem to be affected by the issue.

The issue occurs from a clean install of 17.10 and a currently updated 17.10.
Kernel 4.12 and back seem to work without issue, so I'm guessing it's related
to the 4.13 kernel.
