Greetings all,
I personally agree that work needs to be done on this list. Maybe we should
change the listing to “contributing support companies” or something like that.
If you want to get listed in the Koha Yellow Pages, pony up some time on bug
testing, dev submittals etc.. Invest in the

Amit, can you please send me a quick email outlining this award so that I can

I look at this project from more of a practical point of view
rather than an ethical one because I don’t have the luxury to do the latter.

Greetings fellow Koha users!!
In a constant effort to promote Koha within the library world I am always
thinking of new ways to portray the benefits of switching to an open source
solution such as Koha. Now more than ever libraries need a more reasonably
priced alternative to what is out there
Thank you Marshall,
I agree with many of the points listed in this message. Chris, what is your
biggest concern other than the fact that this data is not free to download?
Marshall, would you be looking for some form of compensation for us to list
this on the KC website? How can we reach a
Hi,
I'd really like to see Hea improved, and link to that instead. It is our
own, open, data. It is fully voluntary. We can make the registration
process easier for libraries - possibly as part of the installer. It is too
hidden now.
An API to Hea that I could pull from to use the data on the
Hi Everyone,
I hear what you are all saying about this and agree that it would be better to
roll our own, but here is the thing: Hea is not user friendly at all and the
Wiki is not a good marketing tool because it is not pretty (no offense on
either of these). If you really want to market Koha

Hi Everyone,
I agree completely with Sebastian’s suggestion. I don’t see any reason to
re-invent the wheel. Let’s link the page on the KC website to Marshall’s map.
It is an already established site and is very easy to use and navigate. It is a
win for the KC because we don’t need to re-do
that this is for the general public,
it is meant to be a tool for the community to educate those who are unfamiliar
with Koha so many of the highly technical details have been left out. I am
planning on releasing this first thing tomorrow. Thanks and I hope you all like
it!

This is fantastic thank you Sebastian!! We look forward to hearing more about
what is going on with KGI. These types of initiatives are exactly what the
community needs to get the word out and I am sure that your efforts are
appreciated by everyone!!
Have a great weekend

Hi Bob,
Great idea! I have set up an email address for anyone who would like to send
content. I can also set up a Dropbox folder for larger files if needed. The
email address to send content that we can use to market Koha is

Greetings fellow Koha users!
During the last general IRC meeting it was decided that it is time we got
serious about marketing Koha globally as a community. There is still too much
misunderstanding and fear based on misconceptions circulated by the larger
proprietary ILS systems and it is time
Very nice Rebecca!!

Greetings,
I just wanted to weigh in to say that this survey is extremely important to the
strength of Koha at least in the United States. Many many libraries use this
survey to determine how Koha stacks up against all of the proprietary
solutions, and because of the higher levels of service
