If you do, maybe there is a barcode in your db breaking things.
select max(barcode) from items
That was the problem: Two items (barcode) were breaking the rule.

You can check for the currently biggest barcode using an SQL report:
select max(barcode) from items
That might help to find out what's going on.
Did you tried to reindex your DB?: Yes
Might it be something in cache? did you clear your browsers cache or reset
apache/memcache/plack?: Yes
If you run a report that displays barcodes, what did you get?: Everything OK

We are using koha 18.05, Now when we try to add a new item, the BarCode is:
3.20141070118656e+16 for every new record or when we try to edit.
Any Help?

Sorry, it was a mistake it is not barcode format: yymm0001.x
where xx is a sequence
it is EAN-13 the same remains.
Since several years we have the barcode label as 201701100085059.0
But now, with the same format we have:
3201401100085059.0
Why number 3?
Why 2014?
Why this jump?
And
We are using barcode format: yymm0001.xx

when staff put the item in the koha through catologue it gives the error
message , barcode error , i opted to use accession number as barcode so as
to avoid duplicate of data in the system
