Re: [Koha] Internai server error

2023-10-28 Thread Field, Jonathan
Hi,
Could there be zebra temp files? We've experienced this before when zebra
runs off and fills the disk.
systemctl restart koha-zebrasrv.service
clears them down.
They'll typically reside in /var/lib/koha/zebradb/biblios/tmp

[Koha] Add a Usage Statistics module to ERM

2023-10-03 Thread Field, Jonathan
Hi all,
I just wanted to bring your attention to Bug 34587 which is another
enhancement to the ERM module to introduce Data Providers, COUNTER and
SUSHI to Koha.
There is no formal test plan to this (as it is a big feature) but you can
watch my video at KohaCon 23 this year which shows how all of the features
work (and the workflow). It's about 30 minutes long.

We have provided a permanent sandbox here -
http://staff-usagestats.sandboxes.ptfs-europe.co.uk/cgi-bin/koha/erm/eusage/usage_data_providers
which we will leave live and it would be great if anyone who has an
interest in this topic/feature could do some testing and feedback any
comments/issues on the bug. We'd love to add it to the next version as it
is of interest to many libraries.

Credentials will be required for testing, please check if your organisation
has access to any valid SUSHI credentials in order to test. Other details
can be found at the Project Counter registry -
https://registry.projectcounter.org/
All credentials are redacted in the sandbox and will not be visible to
other users. In the released version, credentials will be visible in the
ERM module.

I'm also happy to answer any specific questions about this feature directly
if anyone has any.
Many thanks
Jonathan

Re: [Koha] Open source RFP doc for libraries

Hi Kathryn,

Was this
https://www.libtechrfp.com/home
the one you were thinking of?

Used quite a lot in the UK.
Thanks,
Jonathan

Re: [Koha] Third party fee/fine processing systems?

2019-03-05 Thread Field, Jonathan
David is correct, we have developed 2 plugins for those payments systems.
They are in our repository at :-

https://github.com/PTFS-Europe/koha-plugin-capita-payments
and
https://github.com/PTFS-Europe/koha-plugin-wpm-online_payments

I'm not sure how widely these providers operate outside of the UK(?) but,
at the very least, they may help someone do something similar with another
provider.
Our Development Manager, Martin would be very happy to talk to anyone
interested in using them or creating new ones as he has worked closely with
the University of Hertfordshire to get them working during their transition
from one to the other.

Re: [Koha] How to use housebound module?

2018-03-02 Thread Field, Jonathan
Hi,

You might want to look at the plan on the bugzilla report

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=5670

In summary,

- Optionally, add additional authorised values to 'HSBND_FREQ'.
- Switch on 'HouseboundModule' syspref.
- Ensure 'ExtendedPatronAttributes syspref is on.
- On patron pages, when editing, add some to the Housebound deliverer
  and chooser groups.
- On a patron page, the Housebound menu should now be present.
  - create housebound profile
+ ensure Frequency values seem pulled from 'HSBND_FREQ'.
  - create 'housebound visits' (deliveries)
+ ensure chooser/deliverer lists are populated with patrons that
have the Chooser or Deliverer Attribute type.
  - edit visits.
  - delete visits.
- Switch off 'HouseboundModule'
  - the Housebound menu should disappear

We were talking about this a few days ago and will try and add some proper
documentation with screens to the manual pages.
