Could we create a warning for this on the triggers page, or put something

reason not to.
My impression is that often the itemtype is changed as well to allow for
a different (shorter) loan period. If you are doing that, you could
change the return policy for the item type to 'Item

the home branch while adding items to a course reserve.
We have several branches with transfer possibility. When we add an item for a
course located in another library, we can only change the holding branch but
