FYI, we're seeing a similar situation, but in the English display.

Bib records with values in the 505 _g and _t are not displaying correctly
(ie same as 505 _a.) Instead the _t shows on a separate line which goes on
and on forever instead of flowing from one -- to another, _g does not
display.

Are you using Plack? Restarting it might make the change visible.

I changed to  in the file MARC21slim2OPACDetail.xsl  in pt_BR to match
the file in english and restarted apache, but it didn't work.

Am I missing some step?

I have vague recollections of something similar where the stylesheet 
(xsl) for the display in English was looking for subfields a and t and 
had something like:


at<...

Because the sequence "at" may appear in translation you may find that in 
the Portuguese translation it has been changed.


This might get you going in the right direction or it might be a red 
herring. I do hope it helps.
