When you put on your cowling top and it bends the material in the shape dictated by the cowling, will it stay in that shape, or will it always spring back to flat. I built my own using fiberglass and silicone. While they are nice, they will not keep the form, so I am always having to bend them

I talked to BRS last year about this and they knew of one installation that they have some drawings of. I may install the 1050 softpack with a 24 lb weight penalty depending on my max gross once the plane is done. Cheap insurance if you ask me. My guess is most people would feel it's a waste
