Here is a YouTube video (thanks to Bernie Wunder) of the fuel flow test on
12/30/11 after replacing the mechanical VW fuel pump and installing a check
valve to permit the Facet electric pump to prime the mechanical pump and
perform as a back-up fuel pump. I also fixed the oil leaks at the
I am wondering how much Aeropoxy I will need for wing construction on my
KR2S. How much should I have on hand while laying up the fiberglass ? I plan
just one layer of glass at a time with peel-ply.Is there is a method to figure
how much to mix for a given area ? From previous experience
send me your address and i will send you a sample of dynel from my KR made in

I suspect that My KR was built using Dynel. I have some pictures of the
fabric in the Horiz Stabilizer under the resin. Is there anyone who might be
able to
look at them and tell me if the original builder actually used Dynel? (I'll
send them to you)

Hello KRnet,
I am now pleased to report that the new fuselage sides on my KR2S are complete.

If you don't remember, I posted a few months back that all four of my fuse
longerons cracked when I bent the fuselage to shape. I worked through the

As I was going back thru my back issues of KITPLANE magazine (Feb 2011), I
saw another article on the rotary engine. It got me thinking, so I am doing
a bit of research on the engine right now and was wondering if anyone on the
list had any experience with these? The one website (
Yep, that is the one. I should have mentioned that it was an Aerovee 2180 on
a Sonex and that would have eliminated a lot of questions I got about who's
engine it was. I am glad you are rebuilding this engine for Bret. He will be
able to fly with confidence with a rebuilt engine from you. Happy
Hi Mark, if your referring to a VW hub/crank failure from WI, the only one I
am aware of this late summer is Bret T. If so, it is a 2180 from a competitor
of ours that still uses a shrink fit hub on stroked engines. The engine is
currently in our shop being rebuilt with an American Forged
