Thanks for the service ceiling info guys. I was just mentioning to someone
the other day that I have a gaggle of family that live on or close to the
left coast and was looking at the charts to see what trips to their various
locations might look like, hence the question about service ceiling.
Started building my KR2 summer 1981, completed it summer 1984, first flight
September 18, 1984. To date 1480.4 hours.
Flew and designed many RC models from 1973 to 1981 when I and another fellow
were chased off the John Day Airport (local timber baron though we were a
danger to his Aero
I had my KR with a 2180 VW and RAF48 airfoil on standard built up wings
to 12,000' and it was still climbing at something like 300 FPM. I never
tried any higher.
