Larry Thanks for the link for the weight and balance handbook. I've been using the formulas from AC 91-23 DOT manual. I ran more numbers using several datums: aft of the main gear, several inches out in front of the spinner, and the prop flange. All the numbers come out good. Empty CG's fall

I used the firewall because I figured that it was the least likely point to change, like tip of spinner that may change every time your old spinner cracks up and get's replaced. I don't think the spread sheet really cares if the numbers you put in are positive or negative. It will always give
