Hi Dan
For a few years, Paul Poverezney attempted to start a grass roots aviation
organization that had an annual flying.
The fly in was hosted by Rudy Frasca at his private airfield aptly named
Frasca Field near Urbana Illinois. Rudy Frasca owns Frasca International,
which makes Full Flight
by building the clamping jig to make a slightly sharper
bend than needed.

Wouldn't placing a small piece of cork in your site gage tube increase the
visibility of the fuel level. The cork would always float on top of the
fuel level in the sight gauge. You may need a screen to keep the cork from
going into the fuel tank when the tank is emptied.
