I left all my new Mooney Plexiglas pieces covered in Spray Lat up in the
loft of a hangar for a couple of Georgia summers years ago and had the same
trouble trying to get the stuff off. After trying every type of cleaner
know to man it seemed, and not having great luck with heat
and now it has whitener ;)

For a very fine finish, try polishing with Colgate tooth paste. We used to
use it back in the 50's to polish radio crystals to their final frequency.

Wet sanding. All the way down to 2000 grit sand paper. And do it by hand so
you don't build up heat. My brother had to do that on John parker's Thunder
mustang after every race season.

This past weekend I removed the Spray Lat coating on the Plexiglas
canopy on my KR-2.
I had heard and read all manner of horror stories about leaving the
coating on too long and how difficult to impossible this task was going
to be. Sure enough after a couple hours of tedious picking at the
