Check out this web site demo of a natural phenomenon. It is fascinating.

Ok, guys- I've got a question that I have not found a good answer to online.
If you were to keep the AREA of the wing the same, what effect does the wing
length Vs width make? AND- then what does the wing area vs overall length of
the aircraft make?
I was just comparing the dimensions of the KR2S
Jeez Wayneyou never saw the fourth dot then :-)

Yes long ago (70's) there was a P51 done. I am doing a Seafury myself.
Elliptical wingtips and adding a little to the tail to reshape. The rest is
all paint and canopy to make the profile convincing from a distance.

The following is what I get for thinking. (besides the headache)
I scaled down a P-51D Mustang to 1/2 scale and overlaid it with a KR2S and
guess what...
The KR2S is WAY close to the same profile as the P-51D !! Wings on the P-51
are smaller and shaped a bit differently, but that is easy to
Span vs cord is defined as aspect ratio. My interpretation of your first
question would be, how does the aspect ratio of a wing affect the flight
characteristics?
Wikipedia give an excellent definition and it's effect on the flight
characteristics at
The higher the aspect ratio the lower the induced drag I was told as a lad
-but that was in the days of pontius pilot -so it's probably all changed
now..(Aspect ratio = chord:span)
