Hi guys I have a "S" and was wondering what is a good method to get the coating off the canopy from the supplier?. Been sitting for a while on the plane and now it is time to remove it. Thanks "WG447"
KR> Pants
Thanks to everyone that helped me! I bought some pants from Steve at Great Plains. Now that they are here, I don't have a clue as to how to mount them!!! Can any of you send me some closeup pics of how your pants are mounted? Thanks, Dave.
KR> Trim Tabs
In examining my KR2 for electric elevator trim, I was reminded to ask you guys: There is a 9" by 2.5" added trim tab on the starboard side of the elevator, fixed and bent down at roughly 30 degrees. Can anybody offer ideas why the builder would have done this? Thanks. Dave.

KR> 3733 v 7533 fiberglass
Thanks for the info Larry. The specs on the fabric come from the manufacturer, I like the 3733 better than the 7533 it's easier to work with a little harder to wet out but I'll take that trade off. for KR purposes woven cloth is fine. If the one supplier is correct in their evaluation, I might take the flat weave over the twisted weave. Just my opinion. > > Larry Howell > > > > > > > beside them having differnet #'s. sorry too funny not to send to you. KR> Rotisserie
I just finished installing the plumbing for the fuel tank selector and boost pump in the cockpit. Getting the 3/8-inch tubing flaired and bent just so was definitely an education. The biggest problem was bending over the cockpit sides; I wonder if I have done some permanent damage to my back. In the working smarter, not harder category: Would the 2180 VW crank shaft and prop flange sustain any damage while serving as a pivot for a fuselage rotisserie? The tail end of the fuselage would attach to the second pivot at the tail spring. Without wings being attached, the fuselage could be held at 90 degrees rotation for systems installations while I stood straight and tall. Wonderful! That's some real flying there . . . and should do more than anything to put the KR back in the limelight.
