I upgraded my U100 as well; having BIOS 10G now, the flickering is still there.
The update makes NO difference here.
I don't recommend it to fix this bug.
Anyway, suspend/resume seems to work faster now ;-)

10 minutes ago I successfully flashed my U90 with the 10G BIOS. Now both
flickering and webcam

to be fixed.
