My question now is about bobbins. I know many of you use the spangled

seen on some websites. They look like the would resist the rolling
problem that has been mentioned and I wonder if they would make a good
starter bobbin
Can someone tell me what this lace is or where I can see samples of it. I
love butterflies and I see that there is a class at the Ithaca Lace days doing a
butterfly with Point Ground. I already have my hotel reservation and hope to
be able to take a class also.
Thanks for your help.

After the Lace Guild Convention Reception on the Friday evening we had a
slide-lecture in the Theatre on furnishings in Elizabethan paintings. This
turned out to be very interesting and although not lace orientated, did give a
lot of information on the embroideries and the table-carpets. At
Perhaps someone who has taken this class before can give you more specific

like. Sounds interesting.
The butterflies are new. I saw the photos for the book when Ulrike was in
Chicago in March. They are beautiful - in colour -

Hi all
If it helps anyone, yesterday was a poor day for connecting on-line for a
lot of servers. Maybe to do with the current virus fright. When I could
get on, the downloading was slow, and some sites weren't accessible

Actually I only remember about 2 people being in line and it was
just business as usual. When I got to the front of the line, I
didn't know to expect anything other than a $10 bill for my $10

vigilant filtering in their system. The current Sasser virus isn't spread by
