I was lucky enough to see this exhibition on a recent trip to England. It
is, bar none, the finest lace exhibit that I've ever seen. It was even more
meaningful because I got to go with three of my best lace friends so there
was someone else along to appreciate the fine displays. Extraordinary!!! N
A friend was ordering one of the Bowes Museum Lace Catalogues "Fine &
Fashionable" 'Lace from the Blackborne Collection,' and ordered another one
for me, which I collected at Lace Day on Saturday.
What a Feast for the Eyes!
How lucky some of you are, to be able to go and see all this beautiful

Looks like an unusual sewing kit. I suppose that it
could hold the thread, needles, scissors needed for
needlelace so could have been owned by a lacemaker.
The miniature bobbins are cute, and don't go with it.
I also think it's overpriced.
