Hi Fellow Spiders,
I'm a little bit late coming in on this discussion (been away from home
for 7 weeks and although back for almost 3 weeks now, I'm still behind

continental bobbins - I wind ALL of my bobbins on John's basic winde
Some time ago there was and inquiry and an excellent answer about making a
snood.
There is an excellent website with great directions on making a netting snood
and how to do netting.

Hi All,
I have a doily of Nanduti lace I found in a thrift store in southern Indiana
when we were visiting in 2001, not at the top of the range of quality, but
enough to make me excited at the time.

for the Arachne Archive? Then I can bookmark it in what seems to be a new
system.

Greetings, lacemakers!
I have had an interesting correspondance with a woman who has something she

Could it possibly be that the pastor's parish had a large number of
lacemakers in it? I would think if that was the case the lacemakers
would want to commemorate the death of the murderer of their pastor.

Hello Brenda
Was William Fairall notorious!! Hanging bobbins are usually connected with
the lacemaking area or are unusual in some way i.e. Franz Muller who
committed the first murder on a railway train.
I'm not a aware of any lacemaking connection with my Miles Weatherhill, but

Good idea Betty. I will have to see if there is anything hidden in the
framing that might tell me. Thanks all for the suggestions on types of lace
