Come November, maybe I'll go back to WalMart, trawling for more spidery

Hi Karisse,
I've just seen your wonderful Celtic Cross Lace. Where did you get the pattern? And
I can't find out where you started and finished (must be underneath somewhere? BG).
The other lace was lovely too, but I do like Celtic patterns.
Best wishes,
Jo in Sunny Cyprus

Hi Folks,
Just to add my two pennyworth, nobody in my family has done bobbin lace as far as I

she made my brother and myself a crochet double bed spread, each one took at least a
year to make. This was for our
Dear Lacefolk,
I don't post very often, usually only when I have a problem with my lace, but I just
had to tell you about the lace bargain I got in England.
I live in Cyprus and I only visit home (England) about once or twice a year, so I'm
always looking out for lace stuff when I'm there.

Hello Folks,
I'm usually a lurker, but I'd like to start a bobbin lace pattern which has, what they
call French Fans on the outside. The only trouble is, I've never learned how to make
French Fans. There are 10 pin holes on the outside of the fan and 4 on the inside.
It's a Biggins pattern

Many thanks to all those who replied to my query. I'll be deciding soon, as my

while he's there. I'm so excited, I haven't bought new equipment (pillow included)

Dear Lace Folks,
I've just finished working my way through the beginner book (a Pamela Nottingham one -
Bobbin Lacemaking, I think!) I bought a number of years ago and now I'd like to carry
on.
Could someone suggest a book to buy? I like tape lace, torchon (any of the robust

Dear all,
Many thanks to all those who gave me advice on getting rid of the insects in my old
hay filled pillow. Don't know if I can find a freezer big enough, but will try. If
not I'll try the essential oil route!
Thanks again!
