Lace, each time I came to the corner I did them in a different way.
Maybe two match. By the time I came to the next corner I had forgotten
how I did the last. :-)

But didn't they usually just have to work things out for themselves? They
did not have books to tell them how to do techniques - and most of the
lacemakers could not read, anyway!
I know Lace schools taught things a certain way - but the school in the next
village mi
