Lace History experts, My older copy of "The Romance of the Lace Pillow" by Thomas Wright, was published by Henry H. Armstrong in Olney in 1919. It seems to have been a gift. Inside is written: "To My Dear Mother In Memory of 'Homeland' & 'Laceland' Days. "From John (at) Harting Vicarage

I did a quick search for Dr Habberton Lulham who it turns out was an English physician and poet (1865 - 1940). Doesn't seem to be any connection with lacemaking. Diana - To unsubscribe send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] containing the line: unsubscribe lace [EMAIL PROTECTED] For help, write to

"Cherry Knobloch" asked: "The lace maker on the cover is identified as Miss Warren, of Stoke Goldington. Does anyone know anything about this woman?" A quick check at the 1901 census for the name Warren and Stoke Goldington lists about 7 families with the name Warren. 3 ladies Elizabeth (55

I've just finished reading "The Romance of the Lace Pillow". The lace maker on the cover is identified as Miss Warren, of Stoke Goldington. I'm curious about her. She could not possibly have thought that her picture would still be on this cover, or that the book would even still be in print nea
