I wanted to mention that I found bangle bracelets in the jewelry section
of our local Wal Mart. Some were marked down to $3.00 for a pack of 12
and some were $5.00 for a pack of 18.
I did enlarge the pattern for the pricking by 15%.

All of you making bangle ornaments - beware that the bangles may tarnish,
discolor or rust in a short time. I've been very disappointed with seeing this

Can plastic bangle bracelets be used for these projects? There are some
available here for children that would be inexpensive to practice on.
Just curious . . . :D

Use plastic bangles?
Ruth, I don't see why plastic bangles could not be
used --- however, be sure the size/thickness of the bangle is suitable for
the lacing. The metal ones are quite thin so it is easy to get the crochet
hook under them to grab the thread. The plastic ones I've seen here are

I actually bought a group of 14 70mm bangles in Sainsburys supermarket for
GBP3.00.
1 is quite thick and bound with coloured and gold thread cloth - have to
think if that would be useable.
2 are bound with thread - one black, one white.

Hi All
As Daphne gave out the link to the patterns I have had to change it to
prevent any more people downloading the patterns for free. I haven´t
changed it in PayPal yet, so for the next hour or so please do not
attempt to buy the patterns - it´ll work again later!

Hi Everyone
Thank-you all for your praise. The patterns are my own design. They were

Worth the wait, they are really pretty. I enjoy seeing other peoples use of
colour and ideas.
It shows there is always another way to do something or another selection of
stitch elements.
Thanks for showing us.

Did you work them onto the bangles as you went, or did you stitch them on
