Hi spiders, I am teaching my next door neighbour to make bobbin lace, she has had just a few lessons only so far and progressing quite well. I am starting her off working the christine springett spider next week for her grandson and am not sure if she wants to do the same but different colours

I did a shades of pink with pink sparkly version before Xmas for a little girl which was very well received. Christine's snake works great with lots of colour variants. For a sophisticated one, one of my ladies made a gold sparkle with green and red passives. L Kind Regards Liz Baker On

Hello Sue and everyone It has been my experience working with children that a snake appeals to everyone. As Liz Baker wrote, pinks and sparkles should appeal, or a rainbow colourway. Because your time is limited in preparing something new, your student will benefit from practice using the same
