The pattern is beautiful! I haven't seen this exact one, but it reminds me
a lot to Brigitte Bellon's patterns. She has a few books on Christmas
motifs. I have two or three and this star is not in them. So...it can be
that this design is another book I do not know or it is a mixture of
designs

I think you *should* design your own. You did it with the gecko, you can do
it with a lighthouse shape or sailboat. Go for it!

If you want it not too involved, a sailboat would be easy. A plait for the
mast, curve-edged triangle(s) in half stitch for the sail(s), cloth stitch for
the hull. You can have one or more

Patterns for dragons always causes me some amusement. A friend makes free-
style lace in all colours. A man asked her if she would mind making a piece
